Chief conductor and
art director of the Chamber Orchestra Sergey Georgievich Proskourin
Sergey
Proskurin
has got a musical education as trumpeter and conductor in Saratov and Saint
Petersburg conservatories in Russia. He has passed retraining courses in
London and New York. Along with his concert tours as a soloist trumpeter and
a conductor he has been teaching classes in different conservatories: in
Saratov (1985-1987), in Chisinau (1983-1985, 1987-1990), in Falun, Sweden
(1991-2000), in Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, Denmark
(1995-1997). Sergey Proskurin toured in Russia, former Soviet Union
Republics, Japan, Taiwan, the USA, Hong-Kong, Sweden, Denmark, Norway,
Germany, Spain, France, Austria, Ireland and many other countries. He has
recorded 12 CDs. At present time he is working as a conductor and the head
of the Russian Chamber Orchestra. Nowadays he is a professor of Kursk State
University and the Beethoven
Conservatory in
Vienna (Austria).
The
Orchestra soloist Proskurina Karina Vladimirovna performed with solo
programs in Austria, Germany, Egypt, Ireland, Sweden, the USA.
A prominent part of this work is preparing concert programs to be performed
in the former patrimonial estate of Prince Baryatinsky (now the sanatorium
of the Russian President administrative department Maryino). This
work turned into a new creative project Maryino Music Assemblies
(spring, summer, fall, winter), in which performers from all over Russia,
Sweden, Germany, Austria, Denmark, and Canada take part.
